It’s been over six months since the start of the Lockdown Clothing project, and everyone’s lives have changed considerably since we first began collecting stories of how people are dressing under lockdown and quarantine. Lena Lenman answered the original questions back in May 2020 and this is what she told us when we checked back in.
1) Has your approach to clothing changed since you submitted your story to us?
No I don’t think so…it’s still about having fun with fashions and feeling comfy.
2) Is there anything that you wear now that you didn’t wear when you submitted your story? If so, why?
Yes, Pink! I’ve always loved pink and wanted to wear it but I never felt too comfy in it, I felt too femme, perhaps. A month or so ago I was reading up on Jackie Chan and I noticed that in the 80s he wore a lot of it, and looked the absolute bomb! So I decided to give it another try, and now thanks to help of living legend JC – feeling real fine in fuchsia!
3) What types of clothing do you wear most often now?
Anything goes, I’m literally open to anything. Currently I’m searching for a Peewee Herman style grey slimline suit (complete with red bow tie, of course!) I’ll keep you posted on that one! I’m also a serial beanie wearer so I come into my own in the winter, and I don’t really have a Summer/Winter wardrobe swap over – which means I get to have loads of fun layering up in the colder months!
4) What’s your shoe situation at home?
UPDATE : The shoe jumble in the bottom of the wardrobe is under control! Yeah, I had a lot of time on my hands!
