Another month, another excuse to go rummaging around online and in shops to find some gorgeous undies to share with you all. I’ve called this feature my Lingerie Lust List because I adore alliteration, but that doesn’t mean I’m only going to share feminine styles from the womenswear department. It’s all about whatever catches my eye and this month it’s all about variety.
1) Irresistible Push-Up T-Shirt Bra by Chantelle
Wondering whether a basic Chantelle bra really was worth fifty quid, I tried this Irresistible bra on at John Lewis last week and Oh My God it’s soft. You really do have to touch it to believe just how amazing the fabric and construction is. It’s so soft and comfortable that I reckon it’s worth every penny. I hope to add one of these to my lingerie drawer soon.
2) ‘Mini Johns’ Boxer Briefs by Cock & Bull Menswear
I discovered these guys a couple of years ago at a pop-up event run by The Wise Creative and I really love their organic cotton underwear which is produced entirely in the UK, and also dyed and printed with low impact dyes and pigments. Their printed ‘Mini Johns’ are gorgeous, especially in that fantastic plum colour.
3) Powermesh Demi Corset by What Katie Did
This is a new piece from UK retro brand What Katie Did, which is based on their Baby Corset and inspired by the heavyweight, steel boned, powermesh cinchers worn by Christian Dior’s models in the late 1940s to create an hourglass figure under his ‘New Look’ designs. The Demi Corset features a front busk, back lacing and steel bones for shaping, while the powermesh (upcycled no less!) should make it more comfortable than ‘normal’ corsets. You can find out more over on the WKD blog.
4) ‘Envy’ High Waist Shaping Brief by Panache
I saw these briefs in the Role Models video that I blogged about earlier in the week, and they look fantastic on the gorgeous Marquita Pring. I really wish Panache would stop using the word ‘nude’ though… especially seeing as that colour clearly doesn’t match Pring’s skin tone!
5) Moulded Crop Top Sports Bra by Freya
When the Irreverent Dance classes start up again, there might be some students looking for a good sports bra so I’ve been having a look at what’s new since I bought mine. This moulded crop top sports bra in pink and yellow (see image above) really caught my eye and looks like it would keep everything firmly in place when practicing échappé sautés!
