This month’s list is an eclectic mix of things that have caught my eye so far in March. There were more items I could have included, but they aren’t all necessarily what you would call ‘lingerie’… more ‘underwear’. I pondered renaming this feature something a bit less femme but, I’m rather fond of the alliteration. Any suggestions would be more than welcome but, in the meantime, here’s my list for your perusal…
1) Marlies Dekkers ‘Gloria’ in black pinstripe
I spotted the Gloria collection on Lingerie Lesbian’s post on menswear-inspired lingerie and immediately fell in love. Inspired by the female gangster movie Gloria, the designer says “I remember watching this movie as a young woman. I can still feel the satisfaction of finally seeing a female lead (Gena Rowlands) portrayed as strong and dominant, instead of dependent and obedient.” The straps have the details of traditional button braces and the balcony bra is pure pinstripe perfection. Seriously, what’s not to love?
2) Karolina Laskowska ‘Daniela’ eyelash lace halter bra
Karolina has developed a delicious cropped bra version of her Daniela babydoll, with the same styling to the front but adjustable straps to the sides and back, instead of the stretch mesh featured in the babydoll. The lace is stunning and the style of this bra is just beautiful. This is the stuff lingerie dreams are made of, I’m sure.
3) Who Made Your Pants ‘Dragon Fire’ briefs
Ever wanted some comfortable underwear that will make you feel like a superhero? Look no further. Those brilliant women at Who Made Your Pants have made their super comfy ‘Rosalind’ pants in a fantastic new blue/red colour way they’ve called Dragon Fire. Silky smooth vibrant blue fabric trimmed with bright red reclaimed English lace, these babies are limited edition and on offer now so move quickly before they all get snapped up!
4) Angela Friedman 1920s inspired bralette and tap pants
Laurie Shapiro covered Angela Friedman’s S/S 2015 collection for The Lingerie Addict last week and this set was my favourite. I can’t say it better than Laurie does, so instead I’ll quote: “The surplice front bralette features gathering underneath the bust, a slim covered elastic band, and dainty straps. The tap pants feature the tiniest of waistbands and fine narrow hems. These would be delightful to wear under full skirts in the summer when we’re feeling quite ladylike.”
5) Betty Blue’s Loungerie ‘Tempest’ bed jacket
I’ve been pondering getting a bed jacket for a while now, as living in a listed building can be chilly in the winter months and my arms get cold when I’m reading Stylist magazine or watching YouTube videos in bed. I know we’re heading towards warmer weather now, but Betty Blue’s Loungerie have made a new version of their 60s style bed jacket in a lovely ‘Tiffany Blue’ colour, which is perfect for spring. It has a classic swing shape, so fit won’t be an issue, and the puffed sleeves are just gorgeous.

Much love for the Who Made Your Pants mention, the new designs are excellent 🙂
Aww, we’ll have to let Becky know you like them! 🙂
@lipsticklori aww thank you Lori! 🙂
Becky and I have had a few email chats, there’s no way I could go without letting her know how wonderful her social enterprise is. Still, definitely pass on additional praise!
I have the pinstripe bra and pants. Love it! But I don’t have the waspie, an error I will rectify now. And maybe wear it on Friday…just sayin

WhoMadeYourPants? are amazing, aren’t they Chloë? I’m loving the new styles and colours. Also, Efrrosyni… why does it not surprise me that you already own the Marlies Dekkers set? 😉
I think I”m just going to send this as a wishlist 😀
Most of my underwear is Marlies Dekkers but that specific set is my favourite. I had a girlfriend who lived in Amsterdam and she introduced me to MD as the brand is Dutch. Lingerie: the gift that keeps giving 🙂

@lipsticklori thanks for the mention! Dragon Fire are sooo pretty, that teal is gorgeous!
They are! I have enough for a week of pretty, ethical pantsing… But given the new designs, I might aim for a fortnight. The Pinstripe set is gorgeous too, great find 🙂

I need pinstripe bras. Those should come out of my work wear budget, right? They are certainly very smart so they totally count as work clothes…
Smart plan that is
