Wayward Grace at Revival

London lingerie boutique Wayward GraceI spoke to a friend of mine a while ago about her desire to open a lingerie boutique. She had a vision of a shop that would stock pretty undergarments for anyone who wanted to wear them, creating a warm and safe environment in which to browse and try on anything which took their fancy. Before long, Jemma had a business plan, wishlist of brands to stock, and a name – Wayward Grace – and so she started looking for premises. When the opportunity arose to launch a range within Revival Retro‘s Kingly Court shop (when they opened a second flagship store in Fitzrovia), Jemma jumped at the chance and so Wayward Grace at Revival was born!

The boutique launched this week and I popped along today to see what the place is like. The shop is on the top floor of Kingly Court, which is just off Carnaby Street and a short walk from Oxford Circus, and it already has a lovely selection of pretty things (plus celebratory bubbly if you can get there tomorrow!). If you have a fondness for vintage style lingerie and fancy a trip to the West End, please do head over to browse Jemma’s carefully chosen stock. She has some beautiful pieces by Playful Promises and Kiss Me Deadly – including the fantastic Elle robe! – and some stock from the Revival Retro selection too, including brands like What Katie Did and Stop Staring. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 12-7, Saturday 11-7, Sunday 12-6.

There will also be a variety of events happening in store over the summer, so I will keep you posted on that. Because of all the research I’ve done, I may be doing a talk on mid-twentieth century lingerie so keep an eye on the Facebook page for more details!
