With the help of the lovely ladies at Lovehoney, I have begun to discover that there is a sex toy for every bit of fun you can think of, and a whole load more that you can’t. Each week I shall look at a different category of sex toys but, like my last A-to-Z, they won’t always be quite what you think. As you might imagine, all links are NSFW!
We’re nearly at the end of the alphabet and W is for… waterproof. Following on from my last rather buzzy A-to-Z post, you may be interested to know that many of the vibrators on Lovehoney’s site are waterproof, but it’s also worth remembering that an awful lot of non-vibrating toys will be suitable for use in the bath or shower too. Silicone dildos like the Fun Factory Share and Lelo Ella are fully submersible, as are metal, glass and realistic feel toys. Many basic and luxury vibrators are also 100% waterproof, and some even come with a finger loop to make them easy to handle with wet hands. For those of you who like to leave your waterproof sex toys on show in the bathroom and prefer house guests to think you’re daft rather than filthy, there is the classic I Rub My Duckie massager. It now comes in travel size and penguin varieties too.
There are some other, less comical, toys that are specifically designed for use in the bathroom. However, I’m not about to start linking to shower attachments with dildos and for enemas because I have no idea how safe they are to use. If you think you’d like to try, please do your research beforehand and assess any potential risks carefully. A somewhat less risky option for shower sex of whatever type, is to invest in something to stop you slipping. Sex in the Shower make a suction handle, foot rest, and knee pads to make it much easier to get a grip while you’re getting down and dirty. If you’re going solo, they even have an innocent looking sponge with a hidden vibrator to help soothe your cares away. Could taking a bath be any more relaxing?
