Catch my alter ego Miss Lolly Pops at Barelesque III

I first took to the stage as Miss Lolly Pops on Wednesday 23rd September 2009, at Last Days of Decadence in Shoreditch. It was the start of a fun-filled three year journey that, sadly, looks like it’s on its last legs. After seven shows – and an unfortunately cancelled eighth this summer – all is now quiet for The Rebel Rebels.

Much as I miss the chatter, the friendship, the boozy rehearsals and the immense fun of the shows, I really don’t have the energy required to be a Rebel these days. Perhaps we will pick things up again in 2013? If we can figure something out at our festive drinkies, you will be the first to know! For now, burlesque will continue to take a back seat. Well, apart from one brief appearance on stage in aid of a very good cause.

A week from today, Miss Lolly Pops will be doing her final public performance of 2012 at the RVT. Barelesque III promises to be even more smutty than previous shows and, hopefully, it’ll raise even more money for the Albert Kennedy Trust too. If you’re free on Thursday 8th November, grab yourself a ticket to a night of filthy fairy tale fun, and do make sure you have some money ready for the lingerie auction at the end of the night.

Red Riding Hood has been so busy organising this packed show that she hasn’t had time to go to her grandma’s house to get the candy for the audience, so I’m going to put on my little red cape and go for her… oh, and I’ll be opening the show when I get back! Mat Fraser will be hosting once again, and I’ve heard that Rubyyy Jones and friends have something rather exciting that they’ll be sharing with us. Join the Facebook event to find out more!

Barelesque III will take place on Thursday 8th November 2012 at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, 372 Kennington Lane, London SE11 5HY. Tickets are £10 (plus fees) available from Ticketweb. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
